Creative Expressions: Humberto Acosta’s Artistic Journey
Humberto Acosta Arbizu, an 11th-grade student at Coconut Creek High School, is a Triple threat – a talented artist, athlete and musician. His passion for self-expression shines through in every medium he explores.
Humberto’s is a talented artist and embodies creativity, talent and perseverance, his work inspires others. “My inspiration is to surpass myself and become the best version of myself one day, knowing with certainly that I am good at what I do because I have persisted for a long time” he says.
“Drawing and playing an instrument allow me to express myself, conveying emotions like anger or sweetness through music, which helps release emotions that I can’t put into words” he states.
Art and music serve as a therapeutic outlet, by letting him express himself and people can see what he feels with just listening or seeing his art. “There are moments when I feel helpless.” He states.
“Playing my instrument, preparing my sheet music, and performing helps me find solace and self-acceptance, leaving me in tears, yet feeling more at peace with myself, even if I know I still have room to grow.” He speaks. Preparing his music and performing makes him feel a lot of emotions.
Humberto’s creative process is intuitive. “I let my emotions guide me,” he explains. “I experiment, take risks and learn from my mistakes.”
Through his art, and music Humberto aims to spread positivity, empathy and self-acceptance. “Sharing my music with others brings joy, seeing their happiness flow from my creations is a fulfilling experience. Its both thrilling and calming.” He explains.
