You’ve Got STYLE

Hector Rondon - January 7, 2026

Style is more than what you wear. It is acquired and molded into our personality.

Our personal style reflects how we want to be perceived.

There are many ways to display our personal styles, but usually there’s something that marks us. This goes from our hairstyle to our clothing. What we wear can display our confidence or cover up our insecurities. Sometimes our style portrays our culture or our beliefs, and hairstyles also. Most importantly, style is what represents us; it is our brand.

Dressing well and having style isn’t not the same thing. Style is something that holds many different stages; it’s acquired and molded into our personality.  What we wear makes a statement, but it also brings us comfort. Personal style transcends fashion. It goes beyond trends. While trends or trendy clothing styles are something that chases the trend-setters, Style also uses fashion to its advantage. Choosing what looks best adapts to a person. That is independent of it being in fashion. Style is your own distinctive expression.

Timeless Style

Some different styles that have stood the test of time are:

  • Natural/Casual: Characterized by comfort and simplicity.
  • Classic/Traditional: Timeless, elegant, and structured, with high-quality garments and traditional cuts.
  • Elegant/Sophisticated: Focused on luxury and polished.
  • Romantic/Feminine: Sweet, soft, with delicate details and pastels.
  • Creative/Dramatic: Original, expressive, bold, and
  • Sexy/Seductive: Attractive, confident, and designed to highlight the body.
  • Bohemian: Relaxed, free, with an artistic touch and inspired by creativity.

Many unique and unclassified styles exist because individuals often blend multiple aesthetics. Style is a comprehensive form of self-expression—encompassing how we dress, our makeup, conduct, and personality. The phrase, style ‘doesn’t shout, it is noticed has been a popular phrase to describe the power of style. It speaks without saying a thing. For some, what might start as one outfit can inspire a whole wardrobe, but ultimately, style is a reflection of who we are.

Creek Styles

Getting up at 4 a.m. to get ready for school is very complicated. Many students show up at school and go all out, while others pick out anything they find and show up. But we still get to see students’ styles. We see some prefer comfort and chill and others prefer going all out. During the Spirit Weeks, we get to see both students and teacher portray their style to adapt to the event. But regardless of the event or day-to-day routine, everyone’s style still speaks volumes about who they are.
