Generation Beta and AI
bigger - better - faster - stronger

Big Expectations For Gen Beta

AI visions of life in the future:  These images were produced using DAL-E AI. This is what AI predicts life will look like for Generation Beta Teens (fashion, offices, and cars).

Imagine a clone of yourself. Someone who walks, talks, acts and thinks like you. Now imagine that clone exists not only in person but online, too. Anyone can text your clone and it will respond with the same words, emojis and style of writing you would. That’s only one big technological change coming for Generation Beta; people who will be born next year.

AI is only just beginning to spread into our everyday lives, and it is not yet known how the technology will change everything we do. However, for Generation Beta, scientists and AI experts predict there could be “custom-made lives” based on our everyday life experience. They say as AI matures, our lives will be full of more positive interactions with our friends, loved ones and our personalities.

During Generation Beta, our life challenges will be solved in the blink of an eye as computers get more powerful and able to give us answers to simple problems, but to personal ones, too.

There has been a lot said about how AI will take jobs away, start wars and maybe even take over the world. Countries are starting to put more controls on AI, but the conversation is just getting started. But one thing we know is employees will be expected to work at a much higher level than they do today. With more AI tools available for Generation Beta, bosses will expect workers to be more creative and to solve problems faster than they do now. It will be harder to stand out as a hard worker since employees will all have the same AI tools at work.

AI experts predict education will change, but for the better. Students will have a completely custom experience at school. Their classwork, homework and tests will all be different based on their strengths and weaknesses. Teachers will still exist, however, since social skills and independence will continue to be a big part the learning experience.

But the same higher expectations at work will apply in the classroom. Getting an “A” on a test won’t cut it. Students will need to use their own, non-AI creative problem-solving skills more than ever before. Test questions and writing will be more challenging to ensure students are learning and applying what they know.

For Generation Beta, social media influencers won’t be the only ones who have a personal brand. In a world full of artificial intelligence, it will be harder to stand out from the crowd. People in Generation Beta could fear that their personalities will be “flatter” and individuality will go away. To make up for that, Generation Beta will go to greater lengths to express themselves online and to others.
